TAMPERE REGION BLUE RIBBON ASSOCIATION - a non-profit organization

The main purpose of Pirkanmaan Sininauha ry (founded in 1961) is to work towards providing everyone a life free of intoxicant addiction, through a basis of Christian values. The main goal is to achieve unity in social and spiritual levels. The central working principle of the association is communalism (Therapeutic Communities).



Its sphere of operations includes the following: housing aid, nursing homes and day centres, rehabilitating work programmes, volunteer groups, peer groups and recovery groups, therapeutic services, pastoral guidance, support and counselling, spiritual events, training, project work of various kinds and publicity and publications related to the field.

Pirkanmaan Sininauha functions through networking and collaboration with other organizations, municipalities and parishes.

Pirkanmaan Sininauha has 27 full-time employees (November 2008). Additionally, dozens of others are employed yearly on contract or part-time basis.

Pirkanmaan Sininauha aims to be a competent professional in project work in the eyes of both Finnish financiers and, for instance, the European Union.

Pirkanmaan Sininauha is a member of Sininauhaliitto ry,
the Finnish Blue Ribbon.
